I used one of these successfully to clear moles from my back garden this winter. It took a period of approximately 3 weeks.

The batteries lasted about 2 days at a time, and I used rechargeables to keep it running. There were a few occassions when I forgot to change the batteries and I think this may have hampered its effectiveness. If I'd known about the solar-powered model I would have probably achieved faster results with that.

All in all I'm pretty happy.
