Cat Scarer (STV Ultrasonic)

Uses ultrasound to deter cats without harming them, therefore allowing birds to return to your garden. The STV Sonic Cat Repeller protects an area of approximately 120m.

The unit is not harmful to pets, but please note that it is also audible to dogs.

The unit is battery powered (requires 2 x 9v alkaline batteries [not supplied]) or can be used with an optional mains adsaptor. If using batteries, on an average of 10 activations per day, the battery life is typically 3 to 4 months.

I purchased this item about a month ago and have waited to see if it was functional.
I am pleased to say that as of today, I am delighted with the unit. Since installing the cat scarer, using batteries, I have only had one occasion where fouling has happened.

I think the cat got "under the radar" on that occasion.
I did find that as my garden is accessed regularly by family etc., the batteries did run down quite quickly. I have now repositioned the unit and powering it from a low voltage mains supply.

With my grandson now toddling and after trying other products,chemicals etc., I recommend this product as a clean, non toxic method of preventing other peoples' animals from fouling my garden.

By the way, Godfreys DIY delivered promptly and free of charge.An excellent shopping experience.

It only works!

I was initially scepticle about this product but I am delighted. As much as cats are very cute they have been a menace in my garden digging up the soil and leaving their mess near to our herb garden (kind of puts you off herbs knowing a cat has been there!)

But since using this device we have had no further problems with the cats. Excellent!
